Here is a synopsis of the play: Hee Haw Hayride is a Hillbilly Musical Comedy In Two Acts
Book By TIM KELLY, Music & Lyrics By BILL FRANCOEUR

A hillbilly version of Romeo and Juliet -- sorta! The Tollivers and the Calhouns are always fussin' 'n' feudin', which makes things difficult for Emmy Lou, a Tolliver, and Lee Roy, a Calhoun. The story of the 200-year old battle even appears in a scandal sheet "Strange But True."

A couple of New York near-bankrupt publishing houses send agents to sign up the conflicting families. It ain't easy having to go to the town of Lonesome Polecat. It's filled with colorful characters like Ruby Perkins, who not only is a whiz at terrible jokes, she knows how to catch a husband.

Wait till you meet Maw Tolliver and her daughters, Petunia and Dulcy. Stand back (and we mean WAY back!) when you see Bubba and Goober. Watch Paw Calhoun confuse Shirley Temple with Rin Tin Tin the Wonder Dog.Then, when two reporters from New York City show up in Lonesome Polecat trying to get a big story about the "Romeo and Juliet of the Hills"... talk about raising the roof and then bringing the house down!

The Fine Arts Fiddlin' Around Musicians will be featured in this spring Drama production.
