She plays the violin, the viola, piano, mandolin and guitar and of course
sings, having studied voice for a year or so. She is an accomplished
playwright having written 2 original plays with one being performed in Jan.
2005 for the benefit of the Lebanon, MO Children's Library. That play helped
her earn the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest available for a youth in
Girl Scouting and is the equivalent to the Boy Scout's Eagle Award. In
earning her Silver Award several years ago, she played her violin on the
streets of Lee's Summit, MO and used the money to purchase books for the
prison library at the Kansas State Penitentiary in Lansing, KS. In April of '06 Vik was assistant director of the down home comedy HeeHaw Hayride.

Viktoria loves working with children to promote literacy and reading good books. In '05 she took a 5 month stay in Germany as an au paire (we would call it a nanny) in a small Bavarian village. Her job was to teach a 3 year old girl the English language - Viktoria's knowledge of and fluency in German greatly assisted her in this task.

While playing at a Renaissance Faire she met Celtic musicians Douglys and Bella of Howl-o, who later produced her first EP, Well Met!. She is thankful for that friendship and for the chance to learn how really hard (but fun!!) it is to make recordings. Vik was soloist on two tracks of Howl-o's highly acclaimed Disk O' Peers, and occasionally joins them in live performances.
